out. There will be alot of people you get to know and like and the chances are that they will like you back. Most people will
be friendly, but some aren't so friendly. Scammers, hackers and scripters all lurk round the beautiful
hotel. Below, I will wright some safety tips for everyone, but the number one rule will be in this very paragraph! Never trust anyone, no matter how long you've known them or how much you like them, anything
can happen in a virtual world!
Scamming Tips A 'Scammer' is someone who will trick
you into giving them your furni/credits/habbo or trick you and stealing your furni/credits/habbo. By the time you've been
on habbo as long as I have (And that is VERY long ) you will most likely memorized most scams and know how to avoid them. However, everyone was a newbie once and I'm sure that
everyone has either fallen or nearly falled into a scam. If you have been scammed you should either click on the Blue Question
Mark in the bottom-right hand corner and report the scammer or you should report it to Scam Busters - http://www.habbohotel.com/habbo/en/help/scam The tip I must give you when figuring out a scam or not is this. If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is! Always think what you and the other
person is going to gain from doing something, before you actually do it!
Scams I will now give you a list of scams so
you can avoid them as much as possible!
- "I can double your furni! Trade me and click the accept box 3 times!" Simple
scam, you trade the scammer and press accept 3 times, the scammer accepts and gets all the furni in the trade box.

"You lost falling furni! P2S and you could win a rare!" Oooooooo! I lovely shiney rare! Better pay to stay, right?
Wrong! Whoever is running the game could easily collect up all the donations from people who have payed to stay and then run
off right at the end! This can happen in all games, especially Casino's and betting.
- "I'm a hobba/staff member!
Give me your furni/password or I'll have to bann you!" Oh no! This is bad! You're going to get banned! That is THEY
are going to get banned! Any threat a so-called 'hobba/staff member' makes is ALWAYS a hollow one. They are simply habbos
who try to make themselves look like hobba/staff members. Remember, a hobba/staff member MUST show their exclusive badge on
demand. No badge means no hobba/staff member. Neither hobbas, nor staff members will ever ask for your password.

"I have a super rare in this present! Offer me a normal rare for it!" Wow! This seems too good to be true! *DANGER*
It is too good to be true! It's very likely that there is a worthless piece of furni like a duck or a stool, instead of a
super rare! So watch out! Always remember the main 2 bold tips above!
- "Type
your password! It comes out as *****! Do it now!" This happens sooo often! In fact nearly everytime I go into a room,
I see one of these scams happen! It is very annoying to see people get caught by this so often! Just remember, never type
in you password anywhere except your own habbo password section. Never type it in the speech box or any other sections on
the web!
- "Visit www.some_fake_website.some_domain! It is habbo hotel 2! Like habbo hotel, but better!" Another
too good to be true scam. There is no such thing as a habbo hotel 2, and never will be! Always stick to habbo hotels with
a common country nationality. For instance, I stick to www.habbohotel.co.uk, as I am a residance in the UK. Make sure you
can see straight through scams, as usually they are actually quite dodgy. I nearly got caught on this one, so be careful!
Hacking Tips Hacks are quite simple. You download
a hidden program that infects your computer in different ways. Hacks can enter your computer through websites, e-mail and
file downloads. Hacks can also be called viruses and begin to infect your computer and all or some of it's contents. My tip
on hackers and viruses is this. Only visit/download/open anything if you have to! If you open anything that is unknown, but
you just do it for the sake of it, you could be liable to a very nasty hack/virus.
Hacks I'll just give you the main hacks, as there are just too
many!
- Most Viruses Common viruses are a pain in the neck. Sometimes they are hard to get rid of, other
times they are easy! Personally, I use Norton AntiVirus, which will detect ever new viruse and destroy almost all viruses
and hacks. You can get Norton AntiVirus and Virus/Hack definitions at www.symantec.co.uk
- Keyloggers Keyloggers are the biggest pain in the neck, EVER! They
become undetectable and send the hacker all of your keystrokes that you type. That includes habbo name, password and all your
personal details! Norton AntiVirus removed a keylogger for me, but habbohotel.co.uk recommends you visit www.hobtech.net to manually destroy a keylogger.
One last thing on hacks/viruses! You can never EVER receive a hack/virus through Habbo Hotel itself! So don't start blaming habbo
for ending up with a hack/virus!
Scripting
Tips Ah, and now we're onto scripting! Some scripting can
be quite interesting and funny, BUT it is wrong and shouldn't happen! It can ruin the enjoyment of many, as many scripters
just want to show-off! I have had first hand experience with this as you can veiw the below on the following screen-shot.
I am not mentioning the name of the scripter in the screen-shot for his privacy sake, I was simply acting as a neutral
when I went undercover to find a scripter. His name is also not mentioned as there is a possibility I could be trying to set
up someone who is innocent and therefore his name is blacked out. As you should be able to see, he is holding a fizzy lemon
bottle from the bottle he is holding and from his mission.
If you do see a scriper or a scripted piece of furni, then you should report it straight away! I was only acting neutral
on this one occasion to find a scripter, but you should be reporting people like this. A scripter is unlikely to put your
furni/credits/habbo in any risk, but it is against the habbo way and shouldn't happen!
Scripts There really aren't that many, but I will list down a couple
of rare, but recent scripts.
- Fizzy Lemon Bottles/Mountain
Dew Machine Well, 'Habbox' put this on their front page EVERY time they spotted a scripter ! But, some just think it is very important so... Anyway, mountain dew is a machine that gives out fizzy lemon bottles. However,
mountain dew is only on the Finland Habbo Hotel, and is not out YET on .co.uk! I say 'YET' as there have been many rumours
about it being released. There has been no conformation yet, but we will keep you up to date!
- Photos/Stickeys This has been going on for ages! Photos can have secret hobba
messages pop-up when you double click them, and stickeys can be really bright colours, like dark blue, dark red, black, white
and others. The biggest script I have had experience with was a photo. I double clicked it, and up came a hobba alert in the
top left corner of the screen! In fact, that happened in the same screen shot as above! As you can see, HotelMotorBike is
talking about a 'hobba alert' and the scripter is saying it is what hobbas get! It was quite scary at the time, but when I
logged off habbo and logged back on, it was all gone and fine again!
